I thought so to, I had him with gravel but I pressed a bit on it and it's squishy, he was in a tank with guppies, I changed tanks with him a few times to get him comfortable, but nothing worked and it doesn't seem to be getting any worse so I don't knowI personally never seen anything like that before. If it has no problem getting to the surface and breathing just wait it out. Thank you so much, you really helped me out with the worrying!Seen it before on cb polys. Turns out to be a defect. I’d leave alone as it’s acting and eating normal.
