Albino Channa Argus

Has anyone ever seen an albino Channa argus? One of my suppliers just got a batch of these in and said they are super rare. I've personally never seen these before, they sell the argus at market by the boatload and they are really cheap. These on the other hand costs as much as a barca. They will have their pattern more vivid as they mature. I have also heard argus to grow to be just as if not bigger than the giant micropeltes.

Seems to be the "oddball of the month".
Multiple people around these forums mentioned them, and my wholesaler has them.
If he has them, it's not rare. ;)

I would love to have some, if I had the tank for it anyway. :P
 
Ahhh I see I see, yes it would be cool to have but I think I'd rather get a platinum gar first lol. I think this albino Channa argus would be an impressive looked if the opportunity arises later.
 
I am pretty sure you can't get a plat gar for 100$, which is about what you should pay for an argus. ;)
 
The albino argus is being sold for 1000 usd here, platinum gar is around 2000 usd for both similar size. A normal argus that is sold at the wet markets as food source is like 10 usd lol.

Sorry, I was referring to albino argus with red eyes and yellow golden hue body. Theres a plat Channa sp here that is common and cheap, around 200 rmb (30 usd) but I don't think its an argus.
 
They used to have pictures, but they don't on this batch.
They were definitely argus.

These fishes are farm bred, though, I see no reason why their price would go up to a thousand.
 
Those look cool. Channa are expensive, like 30dollars or somewhere there for a 5" bleheri
