I have two pairs of Panama cons that alternate spawning in the main flowerpot in the tank.

These guys are a little different than some of the other cons varieties out there (I have a bunch)...they seem to be slimmer, higher bodied and they have nice sparkles and blues. Like some other cons, the females lost some of their (non spawning) orange color...

Here are some (bad) pictures of one of my pairs preparing to spawn and guarding wigglers.

I never heard of them. interesting strain, nice blue on the throat and speckling. Cons are much under rated IMO.

Finally someone else has this fish!

Your fish look amazing. Does your male have an orange belly? I have one with a bright orange belly and I was hoping it was a male. Mines also has a vertical bar across the body.

They sure are young to be breeding. Well good luck with em!

I think the female has much more orange on her side than the male. I'd look except they're both in breeding dress and lose the orange. They have an interesting coppery sparkle on their sides.

I have a bunch of different "convict" variants (Rio Choluteca, Rio Danli, Lago Nicaragua, Rio Claro, Rio LFS :) )... They're some of my favorite fish...and each very different from the others...

yeah I'm certainly no expert but the head and body shape appears very similar to the leucistic HRP's that have been going around for a while but with stripes.
