Any kept them before? Care to show any pics opf the set-up?
I'm thinking about trying a pair in a 55gallon. Really interesting fish, like Mini non-hybrid FH's.
Just wondering if anybody has/is kept/keeping them.
:woot:

Im keeping them now, Got them from Rob @ Keystone Aquatics, A killer fish, Kind like a Red Trimac without the A***ole, I had a group of three in a 75 and they told me (All Males) who was staying and who was going. Mine can be aggressive with a size advantage, but when they are dealing with the same size or bigger, wilt under the pressure. I keep mine with a Gold Saum, Silver Saum, Port, Bartoni, and a Pair of Cutteri, he runs the tank.....Ill have to get some shots, my guy is still a juvi (3.5") and the reds are starting to come out! You could start in a 55 gallon, but a 75 is ideal for a pair. Im enjoying the personality and looks (minus the Green) of a trimac, who is not ripping off heads. Had him for about 4 months and he is about 4", got him really small, I'd say 3/4" a month.

Ill get some shots and get them up tomorrow........

These are old pics :) I have new ones.. I'll work on getting some up tomorrow ;)

I love mine. Very peaceful yet does not take any crap from anyone, she basicaly gets left alone.

I think the 55g is a good starter but I would plan on a bigger tank in time. I measured my 2.5yr old female a few days ago when I moved her into my quarantine tank (fungus) she is currently 10". Everything I read says 10" max for males but unless they both get the same size I would say that a couple inches longer 12" may be more realistic for a male. I will be moving this fish back to my 180 tonight so I will post some pics soon.

Nice fish Tounge. Although you seem to have a bad fin nipping problem there.

Also if you see some buy em up. I have not seen them for sale localy since I bought mine.

Yeah, no kidding!
I wish Rapps had some. :(

Anyone think they would fair well with a Dempsey? I've got a 55Gall and plan to put a Dempsey in it, 3'' or larger. If I could hypothetically get some Lyonsi that were 3'' copuld I put them in there?

If not, I can wait until I get another tank.
