Are they a hard fish to breed and what would be the perfect enviroment for them to breed in? I have a 12 gallon eclispe. Is that suitable? thanks for any help!

By angel rams I'm going to assume he means Angel x. rams. I am not sure if they are fertile, or if they are infertile fish. I'd aim for a 20 gallon tall tank, but a 12 might work...

It is possible, and is seen regularly on wholesaler lists around here. Just because you haven't heard of it, doesn't mean it can't exist.

I've never owned them, nor seen them. One of the suppliers at my LFS had them available. When we inquired about them, we were told they are a cross between a ram, and a P. scalare.

I would have thought the angel rams are actually veiltail/long-finned blue rams.:screwy:

I know that the veiltail rams also go by the name angel rams, or veiltail angel rams. Sometimes this is the fish in question, sometimes not. This is why common names are useless.

I would not breed an angel in a 12 G. For me, 20 Tall minimum. As for angel rams, I was also thinking of some sort of lyretail/vieltail finnage on a ram.
