Very nice Bro,
I do like the blue/white combo. It really shows the front to back depth better. I hope my lighting comes out as well.

Datnoids, would be a great fish to grow out in that tank, fairly inexpensive as small fish, slow growers, and worth a TON of money when they get around the '6" and up' size...
(like under $40 for 2-3", to several hundred and on up to 4 digits for the big ones) ;)
Thanks for the comments on my lights.
As for the Dats, I had a look on a few different Korean stores but haven't been able to find any so far. I will get the nice lady in my LFS to keep her eyes open.

I have to agree with Zennzzo. The blue/white combo looks the best. As for fish, you go with what floats your boat. I am sure it will look great with what ever you decide.
Thanks for your opinion GT ;)

looks awesome all three ways. I like the all blue I bet it is incredible with all the other lights out in the room at night
I can sit and watch my tank in a dark house with just the tank lights on for hours :D :D

Here's how the lights are set up, there are 4 bulbs at 36 watts each. The 3 switches are for the 2 light units and the cooling fan at the end, but the lights won't come unless the fans are on first....

Now that its all done, I have 2 questions.

Having been through this experience, would you do it again, and what would you do differently?

Heck yeah I'll do it again, I loved every part of this build and I feel bored not that I am not building.....but I will wait until I move to a "house" rather than building in an "apartment" again.

Next time I want an in-wall tank, and it would have to be bigger (of course). I would probably use one of the rubber coatings next time instead of fiberglass.

That's all I can think of for now :D

thanks Bass for Sharing your build don't let the thread die though. we all like seeing the little changes people make as they get used to having it around and working out the Quirks to make it even better. besides we all love stairing at these big tanks. I may be on the build design again soon I found a house and it has a perfect basement for a fish room. reading your build and a couple others has kept my spirits up. keep up the good work

I will keep posting updates and photo from time to time. Today's update is that one of my 2" tinfoil barbs has vanished
Good luck with your future build Cody!

Nice! Thanks for the updates, you know how much I wanted them! That spray bar looks perfect! And the ball valves will help with feeding, and cleaning the pumps, etc. Get some work done today and update us tonight!

Why do you say the ball valves will help with feeding?
