anybody have a Overhead aquarium sump ?
I'd say that it is,nice looking set up.
Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking I'm doing only downsized
I'll bet that was noisy!
I was running this little one for a while. I just added a tee to my return pipe, and hosed most of the flow up into the top sump. It had aluminum channel support, but I thought it was too much weight on the top of the tank. BEWARE OF THAT, & the if sump should flood it will be 2x as heavy!
I already had a sump in the cabinet so I moved the media to the bottom sump and just put the ivy in the lid directly.

In this shot you can see the aluminum channels which supported everything, and still do. They are notched to clear stuff that isn't there.

That grow-lite really works great.
Same tank with all the roots, different tank light, grow-light, betta skybox & bubble hab.
The ugly 1/2" hose was feeding the sump from below. it's gone now too.

I know they're not monsterfish and I feel guilty already . . . also for that ugly hose, which is now gone.
Oh screw it! I love bettas too!

Modified Pom bottles are on 4 of my tanks & the fish love them.
I want a big one for the Oscar tank. LOL
