Anyone have red florida gar updates?

I'm curious to see if anyone with the red or xanthic florida/spotted gars have any updates on growth and coloration. If you got em, share em!

Hmmm...so it lost all it's "red" color and started gaining spots. Interesting...

How big do they get

The one at my school has grown about an inch in a month. He is Now around 13" long and hasn't shown any signs of changing colors or spots-still a reddish brown color with solid stripe. He is eating only feeder guppies, which does worry me....

There were a lot of fake ones being offered as 'red gars' about 10 months ago. Vendors didn't know the difference.

I think most turn out looking like a regular gar. Yet to be shown otherwise
