Anyone kept stewartii? Wondered if anyone else had experience with them hiding all the time.
Got one about 4 weeks ago, about 10cm long but I never ever see him, perfectly healthy but always hides under the rocks or wood even with the lights off. Doesn't look around for food but he is eating fine as the food is gone by the morning.
Tank is 240 litres, has hiding places as well as plenty of surface cover from the water lettuce. Temp is 22-24°C. Was going to initiate the winter period but was kept in tropical temps before at the LFS and wasn't sure if it's too late being the start of Jan.
Any ideas? Was thinking he still may be adjusting having had him for 4 week and being coloured down.
I've kept C. bleheri in the past but they seemed more confident.
