Reason why I ask is I'm done with salt/reef... I no longer have the time or desire to truly enjoy it & spend the time needed to make the end result payoff. I'm currently parting out my equipment but am thinking of keeping the tank, stand & canopy & convert it to freshwater. It's a 180 with dual overflows "bottom drilled" & plumbed 16ft below to my basement where it drops into a 60 gall wide sump, which falls to a 200 gallon rubber maid tub before it makes its way back upstairs. I was just curious if anyone has run a dual overflow freshwater set-up & if so are there any problems to look out for. I'm thinking the extra water volume would work in my favor in the FW water. I'm planning on keeping larger more aggressive fish, & using the waste water from water changes in my flower beds.
If your running a similar tank please post pics in this thread so I can see some of your handy work.
Any ideas, tips or suggestions?
