The red back is most probably from Pundamilia nyererei. But it doesn't look pure.
Thanks for the help, thats what someone said on reddit except for the not pure part. Im still new to the hobby so my knowledge is limited. Pure or not the fish has nice color so im not complaining haha
A P. Pundamilia and P. Nyererei hybrid might be the source of this coloration; the difference in their breeding environments via murky water can cause this type of hybrid pattern.
The redish fin tips remind me more of P. Pundamilia than P. Nyererei, but the shape is a bit more closely related to P. Nyererei
theres a hybrid form known simply as Pundamilia "turbid water" but it doesn't match the picture as closely; it is a hybrid of the two aforementioned species.
Though arguably a pure specimen can be difficult to find in some regions due to the sheer over hybridization found between the two species and weakening of basic reproductive barriers from murky water.
