Hi all,
Thought I'd do a quick review of a tank I picked up today, called the Aqua One Betta Duo.
I don't know if they sell it in the states, but basically it's a 20 litre tank, with two compartments designed for two Betta, with built in filtration and space for heating etc at the back.
First impressions, are that this tank has amazing scope; whether it's indeed for two Betta, or even a single Betta and some shrimp in the other compartment, though babies will inevitably make their way across; so be warned lol.
The silicone work is ok, definitely heavy handed; I actually ended up removing the divider in the middle and remaining silicone, giving me a very cool sized single compartment, to either do a Betta, dwarf puffers, or some shrimp.
The lighting is 6w, and has three modes including full blue white, white, then just blue led. I especially like how easy it is to clip and unclip the light for maintenance.
The filtration is where this tank shines, it has a massive amount for this size, including filter pads, then two huge sponges; powered by what I'm guessing is 150lph power head, so there's good suction all round.
The black backing looks awesome, extremely stylish.
I'm looking forward to getting this set up, already planted some Monte Carlo carpet; the space at the back also makes this a possible excellent planted nano.
See pics below, happy to try and find out more for anyone interested!
