Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows of whom might do aquarium resealing service? I have a Marineland 220 and I tried resealing it but I was not successful. Does anyone knows of someone? Thanks in advance!

It might be helpful to know your general location.

hello; I wish to follow this thread to get the opinions. I figure there will be a problem with such a service. Looking at it from the point of view of the people doing such a service a big issue would be the liability. Say they reseal a tank and later it fails and a lot of water damage and/or fish loss happens. My guess is they will be sued for the damages. There may be legal steps that would avoid this chance.

I researched this as my 125g over 20 years old. After reading a bunch of threads, your answer is what I concluded as well.

My plan is to buy an acrylic tank so I hopefully never have to worry about a tank leaking in my lifetime. Yes, acrylic can fail but it should never happen if I get it installed properly from a reputable manufacturer.

My issue is the whole project seems daunting. I could probably save up enough by end of year. Issues are I have to research hiring an installer. I probably should tear out the carpet underneath. Also my current tank is where the new one would.go. it would be easier if I could just install it and move the fish in the existing tank over instead of having to do a tear down and install simultaneously.

It was hard for me to reach the bottom properly and I don't think I did a good job. It began to leak again.

I don't know about any services but I say cut out all of the interior silicone and re do it.Tilt the tank if you have to in order to reach the bottom properly
