Arched Arowana

My baby silver arowana, Tyler, is about 4" long. He's currently in a 125 gallon tank with 15 cories, two twignose catfish, two whiptail catfish, two stripped rafaels, a common pleco, a gold spot butterfly pleco, and now two convict cichlids.

A couple people have recently mentioned an arch in his spine. So I was wondering if this is normal. Is it something that he'll grow out of? And if not, could it cause any health problems for him?

I really don't notice it myself from the pic but anyway still a nice juvie Silver Aro. Just feed well and good water parameters.

Hes been refusing food lately. We got him to eat crickets a little bit ago but now we're trying wax worms. He ate one but now he's not eating anything. We put some convict fry in there hoping he'll go after them, but again, no luck :/

Hey tlindsey this is my girlfriends thread about the one I had posted about the other day. We've had him over two weeks now and he has possibly taken a couple flakes and a cichlid pellet or two, 1 or two baby crickets and one waxworm. He swipes at the wax worms but doesn't commit and I'm worried he will start starving. Water parameters have been great the whole time and he hasn't been being harassed at all as all the other fish are bottom feeding peaceful catfish. Our Delhezi bichir of about 3 inches is in a 55 gallon with mollies and has been hunting their fry as they pop, we are considering moving him there temporarily to see if a smaller tank and easily available molly fry on the surface will get him to hunt but we wanted to check here before we do that. Thanks for all your previous input on him, we have found an over 300 gallon acrylic tank to move him into at a larger size and are just worried about his eating now.

Don't move him just yet stick to foods that floating such as freeze dried bloodworms, floating Carnivore Pellets, even try small freeze dried shrimp.

Also I would suggest adding floating plants live or fake to make Aro feel more secure it could be temporary until the Aro gets bigger and will care less about the plants.

We just got him a big floating plant and he seems to be enjoying it. We'll try the other food you suggested though. Thanks!!
