 i have a 30galon tank and i tryed to put some mollys in it i dont know what kid they are just that they are mollys and they keep on dieing could it be that my water is bad i use tap water form the sink i put neutralizers in the water so it doseent have any bad cemacals. I do have a tiger shark in the tank and it is pretty agrisve could it be killing my mollys. Please get back to me if u know the answer,

tiger shark?! you mean redtail shark?
they can be pretty mean, indeed. I would think about maybe removing it from the tank and seeing how the mollies last, then.

are your ammonia and nitrite levels fine?

Mollies are hardy fish inthat they will survive in almost any water except soft/acid. That doesn't mean theysurvive sudden changes. I have only kept them as feeders or bait, but you can breed thm in a well planted bathtub. The fancies are inbredjeds and are going to catch every disease trhey get exposed to. Nice feeders.

o i guess i will just not get any more mollys. What if i get barbs i heard that they are hardy and they can be put with fish twice there size
