The last few Days my female Del seemed a bit stressed and apathetic. Yesterdays she even had a light lateral position some times.

Today i noticed this:

Are there Eggs plopping aut? And if she is spawning, why aren't the males interested in her?

do you have any tips or experiences for me? How do i act best in this situatuion?

p.s.: there were havy rainfalls in my area the last days

It looks like eggs but unlike Cichlids the male Polypterus scatter the eggs with his cupped anal fin. Spawning behavior the males would follow female tight against her body until she shakes and male catches and fertilize eggs that will be scattered on plants or the substrate.

Update:
There was still no mating yet.
Now and the a single egg dropped out, but nothing more.
She also is very rigid swimming.
It looks like she has pains.
I'm scared this could become eggbound.
Has anyone had similarproblems?
I don't know what to do...

I personally never had any Bichir I've had become egg bound only bloat issue.
What makes you think the Del is in pain. How is the breathing? If breathing normal and not swimming oddly I wouldn't worry about it.

The breathing seems to be faster than usual.
She sometimes lies slightly on the side.
She is only swimming with her pectoral fins, the body rigid like a stick.
The pattern is also lighter than usual.

I will try to take a video of her tomorrow, maybe than you can evaluate the situation better. But at the moment the lights are out in my tank and i don't want to cause more stress for her.

She always had a indentation on her left side. Don't known why...she just grew that way. Could it be possible that the indentation in combination with the eggs are causing inner space problems?

Sorry for the late reply tbh don't know if those things are causing inner space problems.
