I've been wanting a stingray pretty bad and the only one I can keep in Florida is the Atlantic Ray which is native here, I just cannot find info on these anywhere.
You guys got any experiences with them?

Not brackish, full marine. They can only tolerate freshwater by outputting 10 times as much urea as they do in saltwater. In short, this means it is completely unreasonable to even attempt keeping them in freshwater unless you have a public sized aquarium.

Of course the only ray I can keep has to be difficult to keep.....

Nope, there are rays you can keep in FL - marine rays. Several species are nice and small, and are very well suited for private aquariums. The over all cost of the smaller saltwater rays is cheaper than keeping most freshwater rays long term anyway. Check out the saltwater shark/ray section and read up on yellow stingrays.
