Guys can you confirmthis cat's species? He was labeled as vaillanti at the lfs.... Thanks

Looks right to my ignorant eye.

Just in case stare at other possibilities and see if they can be discarded:

- vaillantii vs look alike from smaller-medium Pims (http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=38098&start=20), especially

-- Pimelodus albicans,

-- Iheringichthys species, and

-- Duopalatinus peruanus.
