Baby Flowerhorn wont eat since 2 days

I got him/her 2 days ago from a local breeder and i am trying to feed the same food the breeder fed. The baby is about an inch. I have him in a temp tank of 15g (ill shift him into a tank of its own soon) also the water is pretty clean. It takes in the food and spits it back out .whenever i put the food it rushes to it

Try to starve the fry for a day or 2 then try to feed him and get out of the room. It might still gettin use to the new environment. Changing the black background might help too.

It does but nothing is wrong with ur fry, gently introduce the pellet after starving for a day or 2 then the garlic with pellets. NLS Thera+ a has garlic on it. Again gotta starve the fry, when u try to feed it, make sure u move away from the tank so it wont get stressed.

ny.subway alright thanks! One more thing, it is trying to eat the fine gravel and the fine pellet residues(i couldn't get the small dissociated pellet out) which have gotten to the bottom. Should i just make it a barebottom tank or let him starve as it is

Bare bottom tank is more ideal but that's normal for them to pick up the gravel and rearrange it. You mentioned black background, better change it or keep a white substrates.

Hey ny.subway , well it had been 2 days when i posted and 2 days since i posted so thats about 4-5days. He just takes the pellet in and spits it back out, i soaked and made the pellet smaller still same result
Also, it has started to get deep red coloration near its gills. Is that some disease? The poop is light brown
