im not sure if this is the place to write this but i figured i would give it a go.

im just wondering if anyone has solid info on thease fish. ive read alot on them but everything is always different.
I purchased one a couple monthes ago and he is curently 6 inches and grew 1/2 an inch in the month ive had him (feeding beefheart)
everything says either 6 or 8 inches but from my experiance a fish does not grow 1/2 an inch in a month when its near its max size
just wondering if anyone has had one biger or info on them getting bigger.

And please do NOT feed beefheart ! Give this channa whole frozen feeder fish. Mammal meat fattens fish in an very unhealthy way.
 
much the same can be said of any feed we feed our fish. At the end of the day its about variety and moderation in feeding
providing different foods will actually provide a more complete nutritional profile.
 
Hi,

mammal meat can only be digested by very high temperatures, temps higher than 30°C .At lower temps its only for getting the fish fat. And lucius is a fish hunter, and not a cow hunter ;-)
 
its actually the fat they have a herd time with but i was feeding it to ween him off of live and the fat was trimmed off. he now gets it 2 times per week my recipe is only around 20% beef
