I was wondering if a betta and endlers would work. I know a lot of the fry would not survive but could it work? Also the tank is a standard 10 gallon planted aquarium.

Canada eh
If by work you mean the betta would eat the endlers. Yes that will work. Bettas prefer insects but they would still love to eat endlers.

Depends greatly on the personality of the individual. My female betta is highly predatory but ignores smaller swordtails in the tank, may eat fry though. Some Betta may be incredibly aggressive to other flashy fish, or on the flip side they may be stressed out by constant movement. It's worth a shot if you have other tanks around in the event of separation being necessary.

My plakat male Betta doesn't bother my Endler's at all. I've never seen him stalk or flare at them them, so there's that. There's lots of floating plant cover as well, so the fry can hide out until thy get some size on them.

He may pick off some small ones but as a whole they should be fine.
