(I’ve had my bichir for about 3 months now and i bought a little school of khuli loaches. and i left my lights off for them to sleep one night to wake up to my loach head first, halfway in the bichirs mouth. he had it there for a whole day so i took him out the water and cut the loach in half. he’s been able to close his mouth but now i see a piece of the loach hanging out his gills and still a lump in his throat..) i just need some suggestions, this is one of my most favorite fish and i don’t want to lose him.
Remove the loaches, and not much you can do now except what for the bichir to digest the loach. If it fits in the bichir's mouth, it will attempt to eat it.
You might want to pull the other part of the loach out. Loaches have a little sharp barb under their eyes that make it difficult for other fish to eat them. The barbs pop out when the fish are caught in a net or by another animal, quite a surprise for such a smooth, worm-like fish.

What outcome were you thinking of when added tiny wrigglers ? to the tank with the bichir
no clue, i had one before i got the bichir and as he’s grown up he never messed with then i got some more that we’re a little smaller than the original one and that probably did it??
