Big old Midas, Chancho and ornate poly

I never post pics but thought these guys were looking good.
The Midas was from Rapps when he had the gold barred midas. At one point I had 4/5 generations in the tank.

The Midas has been with me since 2017, the poly about that time.

Chancho is either 3 or 5 yrs old, I forget

Awesome fish, Yeah i bought those F1 gold barred Midas when Rapps had them i bought 6 and ended up with a big 12in male after about 2 years.
Chancho is next on my bucket list. How do you find the aggression with the Chancho? I've heard they are pretty mellow compared to other amps

I had a pair for about 4 years, when i lost the female i bought an orange female from kevin. then made several generations that had almost tiger stripes until they were 6" or so and then mostly faded to orange. i have one female left ( in another tank) that has the bars and the orange.

This midas is definitely the boss, but a fair boss. The chancho is mellow but seems to know he's catching up to the midas in terms of size

theres another amph in there too, a 8" very green (not lime or yellow) male trimac who is definitely the low man. they all have fin extensions and beg like puppies

all fish are different I've had pushovers and jerks from the same spawn- its luck of the draw or raising them in density- i honestly don't think there is rubric to fit them all
