Hello everyone
My hubby and I are experiencing something strange with our black ghost knife. He is about 2 and a half years old and is in a tank with 3 clown loaches, 2 angels, 2 red-nose rummies and a zebra danio. Lately he has developed a white, mottled film on his body that doesn't extend to his tail, almost like a horses saddle, and it tends to appear in the evening and disappear in the morning through to the afternoon.
Water parameters are good, the pH is generally between 6.5 - 7.2, and the temp is consistently 28 degrees Celsius. 25% water changes weekly and the diet consists of bloodworms, brine shrimp and occasional greens (for the loaches mainly, although he tends to eat as well).
Could this be a bacterial or fungal issue? Or perhaps something related to the water/tank? I've attached a photo (not great I know, but he's hard to get a picture of!).
Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!
