Ok i have a black ghost knife, just got him a few days ago.
I acclimated him to the tank and he adjusted well. He is eating fine and gets around the tank a lot.

I came home today and was checking out the fish and i noticed the BGK laying on his side on the gravel.... I thought he was dead. But then to my surprise he just gets up and starts swimming around like normal...

This happens a lot, I will be sitting and watching the fish and he will just go behind a plant and stop swimming and lay on his side for a few minits. Then he will get up and swim... Do they rest like this? I have never seen any fish do this but i haven't had a BGK before either.

is this normal??:nilly: any input is welcom.. thank you

Yup, that's pretty much how they sleep.

HAHAH i like the pictures.. Ok I am reassured. Its kind of funny to me how they will just be swimming around the stop .... sleep for a bit then wake and swim more..

BGK's pass out like their drunk.

Mine does the same thing all over the tank.

It is amazing how they are so still I though mine was dead a few times.
