Black nast cichlid

I saw a black nasty cichlid and was captivated by it's size and beauty but it's not readily available in India if any one knows a breeder plzz help

Yes black nasties (Nandopsis Haitiensis) very beautiful, very aggressive, very large if you could find one in India you would be a king. as they are kind of hard to come by even here in the States.
They mostly live in lakes and rivers in Haiti and Dominican Republic. When young they need more of a veggie diet and very warm water (i kept mine at 85 degrees

So do you still have them? I have heard that these fish as juvenile are very fragile and what size tank do I need for a single specimen (male)

I kept and bred them for about 5 years.
You'll need a minimum 6 ft tank (150gal) , for only a pair.

My males usually hit at least 15", females slightly smaller.

Of all the cichlids I've kept over 70 years, they are in my top 5 favorites
