Black spot on silver arowana, help!

I bought this silver arowana about a month ago. It has this black spot when I got it. The lfs boss lady told me that it both with black marking. I was wondering if this is some sort of disease. Will this go away when it gets bigger? I haven’t seen any black marking like this on the internet before. Have you guys seen black marking like this? Please let me know, thanks!

Not sure what to make of it. If it’s acting normal, then just watch for now. Maybe other members have better ideas.

maybe its just a dirt mark beside the gill btw I think thats just normal no clues thats all thanks.

What is a dirt mark? Is gonna go away as it grows?

Looks like a pigment mutation…could stay the same, change, or go away as it grows. No biggie IMO… i recieved a fish at 5” with a black spot/patch. Its 40”+ and its still there. Grew with the fish. It changes a bit but basically stays the same. Its a spot of melanism.

Yeah the boss lady from lfs told me that my arowana born with that. But I was skeptical because I never seen silver arowana with a black spot before. Don’t know if the black spot is gonna disappear at some point.

Dont worry about it keep good water condition clean and clear and I hope will heal soon with an good water condition treatment thanks thats all I can say.
