Nice curu. Pbass, arowana, rays etc. Basically large fish that can’t be bullied around. You’ll need a big tank.

Unless your wolf won’t tolerate any tankmates. Can happen and if so then you’ll be using expensive feeders.

Agreed. Mine is really rather mellow. That said IME hoplias are a walk softly carry a big stick kind of fish. Don’t really start a whole lot but can certainly end it quick. It’s wise to pick fish that don’t provoke them.

It can get over 20in. Plus if ur planning for tankmates then 10-8x4x2.5. If u want to keep it solo then6-5x3x2.5.

Has anybody tried keeping keeping multiple wolves? What are the chances of them in the same tank.
It just bit the smaller red wolf in the tail, some scales came off....both wolves haven't been eating.
I am thinking to move the black to another tank of its own soon.

If you have a little red wolf in there then you need to move it. The black wolf fish will eventually kill that red wolf. That’s the reason why its not eating probably just stress.

If you want to keep multiple wolves together. Don’t keep erythrinus and gold wolves as they’ll be too small. Seen it done success but not sure the long term. Need large space with decor. Need a good amount of larger preds to deter and distract the wolves.

The black has been eating, shrimps, squid, murdered the red wolf and ate it...... I supposed he has settled? Doesn't it turn blackish when settled? Or does the coloring mean that it is still stressed/is the brown its natural coloring?

Color can vary. This is it’s natural color. But it’s settled.
