Agreed. Mine is really rather mellow. That said IME hoplias are a walk softly carry a big stick kind of fish. Don’t really start a whole lot but can certainly end it quick. It’s wise to pick fish that don’t provoke them.Nice curu. Pbass, arowana, rays etc. Basically large fish that can’t be bullied around. You’ll need a big tank.
Unless your wolf won’t tolerate any tankmates. Can happen and if so then you’ll be using expensive feeders.
Thank you for the advice!! What tank size would you recommend, its about 5 inch now..Nice curu. Pbass, arowana, rays etc. Basically large fish that can’t be bullied around. You’ll need a big tank.

It can get over 20in. Plus if ur planning for tankmates then 10-8x4x2.5. If u want to keep it solo then6-5x3x2.5.Thank you for the advice!! What tank size would you recommend, its about 5 inch now..
Has anybody tried keeping keeping multiple wolves? What are the chances of them in the same tank.It can get over 20in. Plus if ur planning for tankmates then 10-8x4x2.5. If u want to keep it solo then6-5x3x2.5.
Color can vary. This is it’s natural color. But it’s settled. The black has been eating, shrimps, squid, murdered the red wolf and ate it...... I supposed he has settled? Doesn't it turn blackish when settled? Or does the coloring mean that it is still stressed/is the brown its natural coloring?
