I have a 7" black spotted eel (Mastacembelus dayi) and a 12" tiger bichir (Polypterus endlicheri). I'm wondering if I could put a black wolf fish (Hoplias curupira) with them? The Bichir I think would be fine but I'd rather not have my eel eaten or beat up by the wolf fish. I have a grow-out tank I could put him in temporarily but long term they'd have to go in the big tank together. Does anyone know if this would or wouldn't work?

Haven’t tried it myself. Seen black wolves with endlicheri but will have to be large. The dayi is at risk from the black wolf and the endlicheri IMO. I’d not risk it and keep what you have.
My black wolf destroyed everything that was smaller, even if it was only by a couple of inches. My most regrettable losses were an African odoe pike and a Pom Pom knife.
