My fire eel has gone blind and im at a bit of a loss as to how? It started off in one eye the pupil went white. I assumed it bumped into something in the tank and it got a bit infected anyways my water was perfect and I carried on with 2x wc a week then I noticed today both eyes are white and he is blind. It all a bit odd, all other fish are 100% fine no problems water is perfect. Any ideas on what it could be or what has caused it?

there is a disease that causes the eye to go white, i think they get it when you dont clean the tank enough, oscars get it when they are in to small of a tank.

Nah my tank is waterchanged 30% twice a week all prams are fine as I said tnone of the other fish have got anything wrong, these are rays, aro tigers etc.

could just be eye cloud have you tired medicating it

Hope it isn't blind if it is it could still survive they come from mash land in asia and spend alot of time burried in mud and silt looking for worms and tings to eat so smell is much more important the eye sight to them

if buries himself in the gravel(or sand) he may have just injured himself, and medicating for eye cloud will probly help too
