Can blood parrot fish live in saltwater reef tank?

I know there not saltwater parrot fish!

Same way a human could live on mars - it would be a few moments of torture before a painful death.

Short answer, big fat no. Long answer, Blood parrots are pure freshwater fish and they wouldn't last long in a saltwater tank. Maybe look up some saltwater parrot alternatives (and yes there are saltwater parrots).

The parrotfish found in saltwater are a large fish known for their incredible difficulty to keep. Do not attempt one without loads of experience.
If you are interested in the fw fish species, keep them in fw. If you are offended by the price of marine fish, don’t keep a saltwater tank.

Ok I get it now all freshwater fish should be on fresh all saltwater fish should be on salt right. What is an mono argentus Idk much about it if you know pls reply since I saw it on Cebu ocean park here in the Philippines this type of fish what waters does it spawn or live in (habitat)?

Hi there, It seems I need to explain this as simple as possible for you to understand.

Blood parrots are freshwater fish, when freshwater fish enter saltwater they die. How? Blood parrots adapt and evolved in freshwater, and the salt in saltwater causes the water in the blood parrot to leave. No water in blood parrot = dead. Saltwater fish, adapt and evolved to saltwater, so that water does NOT leave their body. When they enter freshwater, too much water enters their body, and their organs explode. What happens if a fish adapts to salt and freshwater? You get fish like Monodactylus.
