this blood parrot i have i assumed was male until 2 days ago what looks like an egg tube has extended downwards and he/she is trying to entice a red devil of mine to pair with, follows the rd around all over, the rd is the aggressive one out of the 2 of them and is the one thats been digging the pits.would that conclude the parrot is female? blood parrots a little beat up,but still persistant about hanging around the rd,they do appear to be paired

With that type of behavior, and the egg tube now being fully shown I would suggest that your Blood Parrot is a female. Nice sized Blood parrot from what we can see!

yea not entirely sure if blood parrot is female or not although have never seen a male cichlid tube drop straight down like that before unless it is unique to blood parrots,,am pretty experienced with venting them, vented the red devil and from the looks of the vent it looked to be female as well.blood parrot might actually be male,it is pretty large

Yes because of the size of the BP it could very well just be a unique male. Please keep us notified.
