Just picked this one up today. More of a nice deep orange than “red”, but very pretty.

My female convict is not too happy about the new inhabitant...I did remove the platinum parrot Before hand though since she was way meaner.
Every time this parrot sees me he runs and hides, lol. Therefore, he’s not eating very much. I got rid of my other convict yesterday so there are no longer any bullies in the tank. Is this normal behavior for these fish, even after a few days?

Yeah it is. If it persists over a week then it's getting a bit long, but otherwise just a few days is natural. Thanks for the reply. I also have the carpintis, gold severum and EBJD (just moved back from my 15 gallon since the bullies are gone).
He should be fine. At first parrots are spooked, but soon will be following you around the room.
Give it a hide...parrots love to have an enclosed spot to 'get away'.

Great fish you picked! Yes, they will hide for a while, probably their who lives with you. They like to have ''alone time''.
