I agree. Don't go into it for profit. If you factor in the time and electricity etc... it will not be a money maker. Do it for the passion for the hobby!
Think about it this way:
You might sell a batch for $10 each. Let's say you sell a batch of 5 for $50. Then you have to factor in shipping. USPS Express mail is $40-$50 depending on how efficient you are with the water weight. Then there is the box that you need to ship them. Then factor in the time it will take to bag up the fish (do you have bags?), label the box, track the shipment, drive to the postal office. All of the food, water, filtration, baby brine shrimp, time to raise the BBS. etc.. etc...
Do it for the fun! When it stops being fun, spend more time surfing MFK and liking posts
