I found this video, and was very shocked. I was wondering if there was any validity to it, or if the fish had a death sentence? I've never even heard of anyone attempting to keep these guys in freshwater

There was discussion of it being in light brackish, but nothing was confirmed

I’m no expert on the subject but I recall Wes talking about some research he did that basically argued the point that salt is not what most brackish water fish need to thrive. He mentioned something along the lines of: as long as things such as calcium and magnesium are in the water they can survive in freshwater. That might be your answer
