Thanks Tom. Hopefully they do well. It's bad timing though, I leave for Cairns on Thursday
Loved watching my keyholes spawn. Mine were great parents. Let them do their thing I’m sure you’ll come back to a swarm of fry lol
Beautiful, peaceful little fish; a favourite of mine from way back. Mine bred constantly in a typical community of smaller fish, in which they were the largest, a sort of low-key quiet centerpiece species. Never ate their young...never hurt any tankmates, but managed to raise a good number of fry in a very busy, competitive environment. They were that rarest of rarities; a cichlid that could be firm, but gentle. 
To paraphrase the great Warren Zevon: "Excitable bot, they all said..."
Bought them as a pair. Haven’t bred before so a pleasant, planned surpise
