Hello fellow fish people. I was considering breeding my Macrostomas. But before I do. I want to find out if there is enough people out there interested in acquiring them for good homes. Don’t want to create a bunch of fish with no place to go. Thank you! Have a great day!

Betta Macrostoma? Channa? Tyrannochromis? anaspidoglanis? there are many macrostomas, each of which would have its own following.

There is plenty of demand for Betta Macrostoma.I don't know if MFK is the right place to try to sell exotic mouthbreeding bettas, but I can't imagine they'd be to hard to sell.
Here was someone looking for some not long ago.

I would say I'd want some, but I don't have where to put them :(
This forum might have more people into exotic bettas.

You could also start a thread about your Macrostomas, with pictures, here on MFK. That would get a lot of interest, and you could ask if anyone is interested on that thread.

Hey here J.H. How ya doing? First off. I want to thank you for taking your time in responding. I’m a little bummed. My wife decided to feed my fish for me and my female jumped out. Not good. Don’t know exactly how it happened but it did. So now I’m in the market for another one. Ugh! I am also thinking of getting flowerhorns and doing the same. It’s going to take me sometime to get another female Betta. I will look at the links you provided in hopes of finding one or two more Bettas. The two that I have/had were imported. Hope I can find another here in the States. Have a great day!

If u want to breed flowerhorn she get 1 flowerhorn and one related fish species to breed it with (we already have a lot of inbreeding in flowerhorn,we need to broaden the gene pool)

Thank you for your reply. I can do that. Can you tell me how much the fry will resemble the parents? And where can I get a high quality good breeding male?

The fry can be variable and not all will resemble parents, u can get decent flowerhorn online thru many exotic vendors (I like electric blue flowerhorn) avoid petco and petsmart (obviously)
