Hi! I'm having trouble finding a minimum tank size for a brown ghost knife (Apteronotus leptorhynchus, not African Brown knife or brown morph bgk). I have a 55 cycling and I'm researching options. Thanks!

Any thoughts, folks? I'm finding everything from "should be totally fine in a 40 gallon, only gets 8 inches long" to "will definitely reach 3 ft in length, 300 gallons MINIMUM." I can't tell if the former is based on stunting or of the latter is based in a misidentification. I really would love to get one, but only if I have the means to properly care for it.
