veggie clip with magnet?
My tank is almost 4 feet deep and my pleco will rip the clip off the magnet. I have a long snake grabber tool that I use to reach all the way to the bottom but it's a pain. I was thinking about drilling a hole on the end of an old fork and putting some string on it. Then I can give my pleco some variety of veggies. I just got tired of people asking me why the fork is in the tank lol. It's like: look at this massive tank and they notice a fork in the corner!!!! Their killin me! :irked:

Who quoted this price on the 1" acrylic? It is only $550 for a 1" thick 120" x 48" sheet of Cyro Cell Cast Acrylite GP Acrylic.
Your lucky to live in the states. I was quoted 3600 for the same piece in edmonton alberta and only one place in the province would get it for me out of the six places I called.

Ok. I actually read the entire thread. It took three and a half hours. I've got the time with a broken foot and all so it was an enjoyable read. :) One question though. What hardie product did you use? Was it hardie backer or hardie panel? I did not acid wash my hardie panel. I just glued it into place and pond armored it. Which by the way is the cats azz. I love the stuff, and now that I've worked with it once I look foreward to working with it again. But I will definately warm the cans up to atleast 90* first!

Congrats on a fantastic tank! I only wish I would have found the thread three and a half hours ago when you started the project!

Thanks,

I eneded up using concrete backer boards which is why I had to acid wash them.
