Looking for information on this species. More so what their water requirements are. I know they are from the Amazon River but wondering if it's from the Black, White or Clear that is located in Columbia. duanes Thanks

I checked on the water parameters in the area where they are found, such as the Rio Tigre in Ecuador, and results vary quite a bit seasonally
from about pH 4 to seldom above 7.
I would err keeping them on the more acidic, soft side.

Fast water in nature. Slightly acidic to neutral native pH according to the taxonomic entry that references Kullander's 2003 paper.
