Thanks for the information mate!!Agree with tlindsey, when female Herichthys come into season, they turn darker to indicate readiness to spawn.

Yeah same here this fish is 3-4 inches as well but it's already trying to breedThats funny i just bought 2 3in Texas to keep my 6.5 female Festae company in my 55 and it worked she moves around and is keeping her colors as the 2 little Texas scabble she breaks them up, i think she feel like she has a job now being tank boss so she is more outgoing.
With that being said one of the little Texas has also turned black at 3in and it tries to hang out with my Festae
