I'm just curious. many of the hobbyist online said that they are feeding their fish chicken meat, only a treat though. but is it safe? or is it just for carnivores or cichlids? cooked or raw?

One of my friend is feeding only chicken to his pacu, they seem normal... but im against it, cheap fish fillets are readily available then y go for chicken, when its against their natural diet...

baji...

meh, ive fed piranha chicken ham with no ill effects, food is food in the natural world... many fish will eat/pick on dead birds. probably not good as a staple but ok as a treat in my opinion.

We have chicken in the fridge that my mother won't cook anymore because it's in the rib part so it has very less meat I wonder if I can scrape the mean and feed it. If i will feed it can i feed it raw? or cooked?

I hanged a chicken leg by a string in my growout tank......I will not say what type of fish I was feeding it to, but the 1 inch fry ate the meat clear off of the bone.........

I think its fine. Lots of people (unwisely) feed Gars and other big carnivors hot dogs. I think chicken is a lot better than hot dogs....

Like others said, it shouldn't be a staple, but if you have some extra, its probably fine.

Why won't you say what kind if fish it is? They are your fish who cares what you feed them? If someone is against feeding poultry it's to all species for the most part. All saying that does is make it sound like the fish you speak of are illegal to keep like snakeheads.
