Hey fellow MFKers

It's been a while since i posted pix of my fish so (this morning my GF sent me pix of my 'children' - totally made my day). so i will be posting them later

but first, i would like to share a pix of my BBXB and XB. When i removed separator between SR and BBXB, SR pounded the poor blue aro so i moved the BBXB into the silver/gold tank. He has been accepted and now thrives. That is, he used to be really fickle eater now he seems to have gained some weight but too late the originally small XB has caught up with him now. see my previous threads for 'before' pictures of these beasties.

Finally, the funny part, as golden XB grew he does not look like golden at all. Looks like BBXB.

can you tell which one is which? i know which one was supposed to be which one but to me they both look BB now

Cheers

PS: will be posting Jar, HBRTG, and silvers soon - SR is in trouble but that is another thread. one of the paimas jumped ship too (yes, it had a cover ... just not heavy enough it seems)

Your bottom one is the BBXB, and top is Gold XB? Gold XB still have blue, green, purple shine at different angles just not intense as the BBXB.

:grinno:

no more guesses?

well anyway, the top one is supposed to be BBXB though due to flash he dont look so blue... the bottom is supposed to be gold XB ...

he is only gold on rims - but from the development i recon he is gonna go BB for sure ^^

they always swim with along side each other

For a low end BBXB it is no different then a normal xb. In fact some HBTRG and gold xb have more blue base then the actual bbxb. It is all about the gene, as for your fish, that bbxb will look just like gold xb once mature. We need to spend more money for a real blue.

the price difference was not that great actually. but the goldie turned out quite nice actually - very blue ^^
