Hello,

This is the second time my blood parrot pair lay eggs, they are with 4 EY labs 25 G tank

The first time the eggs were eaten after 3 or 2 days, Now I want to try to leave the egggs alone to see if they will hatch.

I have another 45G tank If I move all my fish to that tank and leave the eggs alone do they need any special care, Like Mouth baring cichlid eggs?

Hi,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but being a man-made hybird, majority of male Blood Parrots are actually infertile. Fertile eggs usually take 2-3 days to hatch, if after that time the eggs haven't hatched they begin turning white with fungus and the parents will eat them to prevent the fungus from spreading.

You can remove the fish and try to hatch them on your own if you want, but the odds aren't in your favor.

Thank you 4 the reply.

Actually, I know most of the males are infertile, But I read about instances of successful breeding and fertile generations being introduced into the market, So I just wanted to check.

I already removed the fish from the tank and the eggs are there alone, my concern is do I need a egg tumbler or something like that to take care of the eggs?
