carp spawning

i was fishing this morning, and i heard thrashing and flapping all over, so i took a walk and along the pond bank smaller carp were pushing the big carp onto shore and then almost jumping on it non stop. is this their spawning behavior? it was happening in little groups all over the lake

it does sound like spawning behavior I have witnessed carp doing this same behavior this past weekend, it is pretty intense how "frenzied" they are lol

it is a prespawn behavior...when they spawn it is in 2-4' of water over 4-5' beds...most of the time they wont spawn till mid to late june...at that time you will play hell to catch them, but bowfishing gets easier...

the problem is, there all over the lake i liked to fish on taking over all my little bass nooks,

if you can shoot' em do it...they will be out in a month or so...i love to shoot' em...

well its in a state park so i can't really shoot them, they won't even take a bread ball? these carp are massive probably 2-3 feet easy

Also these carp look blue, does anyone know if its just because of spawning?

they almost always look blue in the water...

see this is like a deep blue, usually around here they have a blue tint, but these are a deep deep blue.
