Sometimes the case that the same impeller fits more than one model, for example Eheim Pro ll 2026 is the same impeller as the larger 2028. Don't know about that much of a model jump, no experience with the Cascades, try checking product dimensions, reviews, etc. if you don't get an answer here. Just for fun I poked around and some people are saying the 700 and 1000 are the same impeller. IF that's true, looks like you can get the 700s but the 1000s are out of stock everywhere. Go figure. It's probably the same impeller.
Yeah, I can't find them anywhere. Penn Plax (the parent company of Cascade filters) has a garbage website. It doesn't appear to sell replacement parts directly, or even provide a list of their distributors.Sometimes the case that the same impeller fits more than one model, for example Eheim Pro ll 2026 is the same impeller as the larger 2028. Unfortunately, it looks like they're out of stock for the 1000.
All the motors on AC filters are the same except the 110 so all the impellers are interchangeable but they are different. You can supercharge an AC 30 by adding a 70 impeller or tame a 70 by adding a 30.I'd be surprised if the impeller for the 1500 doesn't fit the 1000. It's usually only where there is a significant size difference that the impellar changes (most AC filters have the same one, for example; just the AC110 that is different). If you can get the 1500 impeller on Amazon honestly it's worth buying it to check, since you can't find the for sure 1000 anywhere. It's Amazon - you can always return if it it actually doesn't fit.
The 700 1000 and 1500 are all different. The shaft on the 1k and 1500 are different lengths so the retainer won't go on but it will drop in. I've made that mistake lol good luck finding one ebay probably your best bet. But if your filter runs just makes a God awful noise it's probably not the impeller, just the o-ring that goes around the retainer. Hope that helps because those are all interchangeable and easy to get.Anyone know a reputable website to order a replacement impeller for Penn Plax Cascade canister filters? Amazon and Walmart appear to only have impellers for the 1500 model. Mine is the 1000.
Thanks
