Catching gold fish with a hook?Backwater pond

Is it possible? I think they may be feeders. Heres the story. There are a bunch of large GoldFish in a completely unfished pond by my house. I imagine there are bass there too so i might fish for them aswell. But i just see humongous gold things chillin in the water so I imagine they were released feeders... But OT What should I use as bait if they lived in the wild for so long? Its seeweed infested..there are snakes and turtles I imagine sunnies and bass but I digress. If i get any fish there within the next few days ill post some pictures. Also if I find any snakeheads we have some trouble (near the hudson river)

try cut up night crawlers or powerbait trout dough, i use these for golden shiners which are very similar to goldfish

i go goldfish fishing at a pond by my house and sell them to the lfs during 'pond season'...i use powerbaits white grubs on ice jigs or plain hooks...waxies will work great aswell...

waxies are a type of larva like euro larvas...i just use my icefishing rods with a small bobber and cast to them...i go alot from a bridge and i can see them swim below and put it in their path...you can see their 'glow' so cast infront of the 'glow' and they should eat it...they are very very slimy and have a strong smell to them...i tend to get 7-14" goldfish in, white, black, orange and mixes of the three...also i get a few butterflys aswell...it pisses off the old people when i have them in the bucket as the like to see them in the pond i and i am takking 'their' fish...they even called the cops on me...i shared a laugh with the cops as they thought is was just as dumb as i did and continued to fish...

I used to catch them all the time as a kid.American cheese or bits of hot dog for bait.

Maybe Koi but its golden red to be a carp. When i catch em ill let you guys know I should be going tommorow

most goldfish turn into a camoflauge brown color eventually when they get really big. i rarely see goldfish still gold or orange after a few years even if they started out bright.
