Just wondering what the biggest possible size each of these can get, or the biggest anyone's ever seen them. If it's listed here, it's either something I have now or something I had in the past that plan on getting another one.

"Hoplo" catfish - possibly one from the Chalcides (spelling?)
Striped/Spotted Raphael
Chinese Algae-eater
Ottocintus
Peppered Corydoras
Albino Corydoras (ssp)
Pictus/Angelicus catfish
Eclipse/Indian Sun catfish
African Featherfin catfish
Rainbow/Redtail shark
Bala shark
Pangnasius
Tinfoil catfish/Silvertip shark/Colombian shark (the ones born in fresh, gradually acclimated to salt)
Albino Channel catfish (just for fun)

Also, looking for some recommendations for some inexpensive but armored catfish that stay between 8"-12" if anyone has any ideas - must be able to coexist with cichlids.

I'd recommend a Rapheal catfish for you. You should look into planetcatfish.com for lots of accurate catfish info. Just type in a common name in their search bar and you'll be good to go.

Welcome to MFK!

"Hoplo" catfish - possibly one from the Chalcides (spelling?)
Striped/Spotted Raphael ~6", rarely hobbyists report bigger, up to 8"-10"
Chinese Algae-eater
Ottocintus
Peppered Corydoras
Albino Corydoras (ssp)
Pictus/Angelicus catfish ~5"
Eclipse/Indian Sun catfish ~10"-12", a few larger ones have been reported by hobbyists
African Featherfin catfish ~6"-8", very rarely any larger
Rainbow/Redtail shark
Bala shark ~12"
Pangnasius if Iridescent shark catfish is meant, ~2.5'
Tinfoil catfish/Silvertip shark/Colombian shark (the ones born in fresh, gradually acclimated to salt) almost never survive to adulthood in captivity, very few that did reach ~1.5'
Albino Channel catfish (just for fun) ~3'

my albino channel is every bit of 16-17" right now, they can hit 3 feet easily. Only cat I know lol.

edit: didn't see featherfin on there, mines about 8" right now

Channel cats can get 40-42", but most stay under 36". A lot of people will argue they seldom get over 30" but I've seen many over that size. Just to give you an idea, here's a nice 32" channel I caught last May.

not the ussuel way to catch one, but they are predators. not just scavengers.
