I am either getting a Coral Catshark or Marbled Catshark and would like to know how fast they grow. If I get one that is 8 inches long how long will it take for it to grow larger? Is the coral catshark or marbled catshark more active and what one is more attractive?

Thanks

would a 125 gallon tank be ok for a coral cat shark. if not what kind of shark could i put in there if not for its whole life at least for most of its life.

No, you can't keep a Coral Catshark for life in a 125 gallon.

The only kinds of sharks that can be kept in a 125 gallon for life - are the so-called freshwater sharks(which are actually either catfish or carp).

Even a small species of marine shark - like the Izu Catshark(16"), requires that is at least 180 gallons, to keep for life. A Marbled Catshark requires a tank that is at least 360 gallons.

Would a catshark be able to live happily in a 360 gallon? Currently trying to convince family to get one but they said it would be miserable in that small of a tank
Welcome aboard
What is the dimensions of the aquarium? A 360 gallon would be minimal for a Marbled Catshark.

I don't know, all I know is that I'd need a 360 gallon. I haven't looked at tanks yet
The Marbled Catshark grows 2 feet in length so needs atleast 2 feet of width to comfortably turn. Also most Catshark species are benthic and don't have to swim constantly to breathe. I personally kept Catshark's a few years ago. My favorite shark species.
