Catshark Questions

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The Marbled Catshark grows 2 feet in length so needs atleast 2 feet of width to comfortably turn. Also most Catshark species are benthic and don't have to swim constantly to breathe. I personally kept Catshark's a few years ago. My favorite shark species.
But would they be able to thrive/be happy/not die of depression in a 360 gallon?

My catshark's lived for 4 years and were eating fine also laid egg cases so wouldn't call that depression. They would have lived longer but I slacked off on maintenance so that was clearly on me.😔

That's so sad I'm so sorry, but does that mean that 360 gallons is perfectly fine?

If you got a Marbled Catshark yes. Do plenty of research on the care of catshark's prior to getting one. Shark's and Ray's are considered for the advanced aquarist.

I've been trying to research but I don't know any trusted sources. What different catsharks are there? What do they eat? What temperature should the water be? How salted should it be?
